 blind.

blind
Though I am
I travel with eyes wide open

Life never ends.
 the greatest of its cruelties
when the path narrows
hardens under burdened feet
the pastures long past

Nothing & everything
is seen to me.

I leave every mark I might make in the world
because I have no sight to tend it
to keep it from shifting under dust

'O' Spirit all of me away
wind & rock are the same to me
kindness irrelevant, when the same touch of apathy

I know this is weird, but it was written in a spur of the moment, listening to a blind, Asian woman sing on a program I was watching.
